What if Juliet lived?

The Waking Theatre’s production of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline is a site-specific and immersive staging of the little-known feminist epic following two lovers' journeys from idealized love to reality in an American fairytale landscape. Designers installed the piece in an industrial warehouse in Chicago’s Chinatown drawing from archetypical characters, action/adventure plot lines, and sublime landscapes of the Westerns of twentieth century cinema.
