Hello and Welcome!
I am a director, educator, and community-engaged artist originally hailing from Chicago, Illinois but currently based in Tempe, Arizona.
I recently completed my MFA in Theatre for Youth and Community at Arizona State University where I pursued a thesis on trauma-responsive rehearsal practice: Rocks in the Riverbed: Building a Trauma-Responsive Workbook for Theatre Practitioners. I have been fortunate enough to collaborate/train with numerous performance based companies over the last 10 years including Sojourn Theatre, SITI Company, Cornerstone Theatre, Urban Bush Women, The British American Drama Academy, and the San Francisco Mime Troupe.
I was born and raised in Chicago and that city holds a lot of my artistic roots. As an educator, I've taught all ages from four to eight-four. Most recently, I taught Acting: Viewpoints and Composition and Advanced Viewpoints at ASU and served as a core teaching artist for six years at the Tony Award winning Lookingglass Theatre.
I have also worked as a director and dramaturg at numerous Chicago theatres including Sideshow Theatre Company (where I also served as Community Engagement Associate from 2014-2017), Something Marvelous, Next Theatre, Women's Theatre Alliance, Waking Theatre, and my own theatre company, Eleusis Collective.
I currently serve as co-artistic director and co-founder of Sleeveless Acts, a new community-based theatre company based in Phoenix, Arizona.
